What we collect, and why
When you send us a form
The contact form and the cost estimator’s quote form ask for your name, email, company and details about your project, such as its type, timeline and budget. We use them to reply to you, prepare a quote and decide who on our team should follow up. We score each inquiry by how well it fits what we build, so the most urgent ones get a reply first. A person always reads it and decides what happens next.
If an ad or link brought you here, your form also carries where you came from: the campaign codes in the link (such as utm_source), the ad platform’s click ID, the site that referred you and the first page you saw. This is kept in your browser tab only until you close it, and is sent only with a form you choose to send.
When you browse
- Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages and buttons are used, through cookies. Where you are in Quebec, the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, where your browser is set to French in Canada, or where your browser sends Global Privacy Control, it only runs if you allow it. Elsewhere it runs until you choose “Reject all”. Google’s advertising features stay off unless you choose “Accept all”.
- Advertising tags from Meta and LinkedIn measure whether our ads lead to inquiries. They only load if you choose “Accept all”, wherever you are.
- A security check by Cloudflare Turnstile runs on our forms to keep out spam bots. It looks at signals from your browser to tell people from bots and doesn’t track you across sites.
- Your general location (country and province) is looked up from your IP address when you first visit, only to decide which cookie choice to show you. Neither your IP address nor the location is stored.
You can change your cookie choice at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Cookies
Our cookie policy lists every cookie and browser storage item this site uses, what each is for and how long it lasts, and how to change your choice.
Who we share it with
We never sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run this site:
- Formcarry receives form submissions and emails them to our team.
- Cloudflare hosts our lead management tool, runs the security check and the location lookup.
- Discord carries internal notifications to our team when a new inquiry arrives.
- Sevalla hosts this website.
- Google, Meta and LinkedIn receive data from their tags, as described above.
These providers may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessed under local law. We share only what each provider needs, and they may use it only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for up to 2 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a client or ask us to delete them sooner. Google Analytics keeps its data for 14 months. We only email you about the project you asked about, unless you opt in to more.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or withdraw your consent. If you live in Quebec, you can also ask for a copy in a commonly used format and ask how we use any technology that identifies, locates or profiles you. Email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
Security and children
Only our team can see inquiries, after signing in. This site isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
